• Course description

    This qualification is designed to prepare learners for deployment as independent coaches of multi-skills and physical activity and will introduce learners to the principles of coaching fundamental movement skills and sport specific skills. The concluding assessment will evaluate the planning, delivery and review of a series of linked and progressive coaching sessions.

    The qualification is designed for those who wish to deliver multi-skills as an independent coach and wish to take responsibility for the ongoing development of participants at a variety of ages within Sport / Physical Activity Sectors.

  • What will I achieve?

    A level 2 multi-skills coach will be able to apply this knowledge to plan, deliver and review sessions purely linked to the development of fundamental movement skills or sport-specific skills. This qualification is usually a key requirement to be able to coach in a Education environment.

    Participants will need access to a laptop or tablet with virtual classroom software capabilities, a microphone for interactive sessions, and reliable Wi-Fi. It's important to ensure that any security settings on work laptops allow access to the virtual classroom software.

  • What is the time commitment for completing this course?

    The course involves various components, including online modules, virtual classroom sessions, practical sessions, and coaching sessions in the learner's environment. The estimated time for completion is approximately 4 hours for online modules, 2 hours for each virtual classroom session, 1 full day for the practical session, and 1 full day for the assessment, in addition to the time required for coaching sessions and completion of portfolio tasks.

  • Where is the course delivered, and is there a specific location for the assessment days?

    The course can be delivered anywhere in the UK. However, please note that you will need to attend the assessment days, which are typically held in the North West of England. While the majority of the course can be completed online and in your local area, the assessment days are an essential component of the qualification process.

  • Is there a minimum number of participants required for the course?

    Yes, the course requires a minimum of 12 participants. However, if you have a smaller group, please reach out to us, as we may be able to open the course to others in order to meet the required minimum number.
